How Your "Worldview" Sabotages Your Health & Life
And how a "God-view" saves it.
Problems arise when we look to the world to make us whole.
A “worldview” drives insecurity:
Acquire and consume more
Guard what’s yours
Elevate yourself by diminishing others
“Feeling good” is the end game, and when we don’t feel good, we simply need to suck more “goodness” from the world to stave us off for awhile more.
But it doesn’t work because the void we’re trying to fill is God-sized.
It’s eternal.
God designed us to be incomplete because He seeks relationship with us. We make the mistake of looking to the world instead of Him for wholeness.
Pleasure, status, and wealth expire. These are cheap counterfeits that never satisfy. You’re trying to fill a cup with a massive gaping hole in the bottom. “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever” (1 John 2:15-17).
Completeness is only achieved when we turn our eyes to the Creator.
A “God-view” brings complete security:
Peace overcomes fear
You live to elevate others
You let go of material wealth because every need is already met
Worldly suffering loses its sting
The God-sized hole is filled. You act not so that you can be complete, but because you are complete.
This isn’t hypothetical. God tells us Himself:
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Matt. 6:25-26)
“He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)
There’s a MASSIVE shift that takes place in your health and psyche when you move to a God-view.
Insecurity drives fear, shame, resentment, and pride. These negative “contracted” emotional states affect the human biofield, semiconduction, hormonal status, and tilt the nervous system towards survival mode. Entropy (aging) accelerates.
On the flip side are peace, love, and joy. These expanded emotional states are quite literally medicinal, and they stem from wholeness in God. They reduce inflammation, alter gene transcription, and improve resilience to all forms of stress and pathogens (PMID: 37054596).
You can’t fake this level of wholeness, and you can’t get it anywhere else. It’s in your design. Come to the feet of Jesus and know your fate is secured.
